Near houses, fences and power lines

The hard ones are
what we’re known for.

When a tree leans over the roof or the only way in is down the side of the house, it comes down in pieces, with sections lifted out by crane where needed and the crew working from an elevated work platform. Andrew plans the job at the quote, so the day itself runs to plan.

“Efficient, careful and considerate of the surroundings when felling our large tree near the house.”

How a job runs

Four steps, no surprises.

  1. 1

Call, text or send the form

Ring Andrew on 0431 732 028 or send the quote form. Tell us what the tree is doing and roughly where it is.

  2. 2

    Free quote on site

We look at the tree, the access and what’s underneath, then give you a clear price. If council approval is needed, we tell you then and can handle it for you.

  3. 3

    The job, done properly

Qualified arborists turn up when we say, with the gear the yard needs: elevated work platform, crane truck and chipper. Same-day service is available.

  4. 4

    Clean-up, then the invoice

Green waste is chipped and taken away unless you’d like the mulch. The invoice comes when the job is finished.

Stump grinding

Gone below the grass, not just trimmed flat.

We grind stumps to about 200 mm below ground level. That’s deep enough to lay turf, plant a garden bed or put down pavers where the tree used to be.

The grindings are taken away, or left for your garden beds if you’d like them.

Locals we meet on the job

Trees are home to more than birds.

Possums tucked into hollows, the odd carpet python. A few of the residents Andrew and the crew have come across on the job.

Good to know

Questions we get asked a lot.

Can’t see yours? Call Andrew on 0431 732 028.

Are your quotes free?

Yes. Every quote is free, and we come out and look at the tree before we give you a price.

Do I need council approval to remove a tree?

Sometimes, depending on the tree and the property. If approval is needed, we’ll tell you when we quote and we can handle the council side for you. Our guide to Redland City Council tree rules explains the basics.

Do you take the green waste away?

Yes. Branches are chipped and everything is taken away, unless you’d like to keep the mulch or the wood.

How deep do you grind stumps?

Normally to about 200 mm below ground level, so the spot can be turfed or planted.

Do you do emergency call-outs?

Yes, 24/7, including storm damage and trees near power lines. Call 0431 732 028. More on emergency tree work.

Are you insured and qualified?

Yes. We carry public liability insurance and WorkCover. Andrew is a certified and accredited arborist, and the crew are qualified arborists.

How much does it cost?

Every tree is different, so we quote each job for free after a look. Our tree removal cost guide explains what changes the price.

How do I pay?

We send the invoice when the job is finished.

Do you offer a pensioner discount?

Yes. Mention it when you ask for your quote.
